Abstract
This paper presents several results regarding the feature extraction performances of 2D CNN Gabor type filter banks in a texture recognition application. These performances are studied for circular symmetric or separable frequency response filters with several filter neighborhood radii and parameters. The results are compared with similar approaches from literature
