Abstract
The paper discusses the evolution of fuzzy rule based models applicable to modeling very complex systems, and starting with “classic” symbolic logic based expert controllers/ reasoning systems, going through Zadeh- and Mamdani-style fuzzy models, and continued by the family of rule interpolation based fuzzy systems including hierarchically structured interpolative models
