Abstract :
The linewidth enhancement factor (alpha-factor) for two types of quantum dot (QD) laser diode (LD) was investigated. We observed that the alpha-factor value of the LD with a uniform QD was smaller than that of the chirped QD LD at a lasing wavelength.
