Abstract
An integral equation solution for a cavity-backed coaxial array of ring-slot antennas is described. A solution for the unknown magnetic currents in the slots is found by a moment-method technique. It is assumed that the slot gaps are narrow and the azimuthal current component is dominant, but no assumption is made about the thickness of the dielectric substrate. After the currents are determined, the input impedance and the far-field radiation pattern are calculated. The generation of shaped and scanned beams is described.
