Abstract :
This paper presents a novel and flexible software environment for data acquisition and system identification in real time, oriented to process control. Our application implements PID, H2 and Hinfin tuning methods for systems whose process reaction curve may be considered that belongs to some of the considered response patrons. A novel procedure for H2 and Hinfin controller tuning is employed, valid for SISO and MIMO systems, which is easy to carry out for a plant operator. Evaluation tests are applied, and numerical indicators are used in order to validate the identified mathematical model and the designed controller. A friendly user interface facilitates monitoring, analysis and validation tasks
