Abstract :
A new approach for the design of broadband double-deck microstrip patch antenna is presented. It has been shown that the double-deck microstrip patch antenna can have a lower input VSWR and realize a flat gain within a desired bandwidth by adopting the combination method of the antenna´s structure and matching network. The achieved input impedance bandwidth are 25% and 23% for a VSWR lower than 1.7 and 1.5 respectively.
