Abstract
It is really important for interface designers to use a common vocabulary, and for that purpose it is required to decide which are the most appropriate terms and to define their meaning without ambiguity. However, different authors use different terms to refer to several elements of interaction and, when terms are the same, they may not have the same meanings. To tackle this problem, an interaction model is introduced in this paper aiming to unify all those different points of view. This model is used in the TRES-D methodological framework, which is also described. Finally, three different developments of 3D user interfaces are detailed to illustrate the proposed model and methodology
