Abstract :
A wide-band electromagnetic wave absorber panel for building wall has been developed to meet the public demand to circumvent television ghost problems. The absorber panel has wide-band characteristics covering both VHF and UHF band. To widen the frequency band, a ferrite fin absorber is adopted. The absorber structure is designed by the calculation for each incident angle. The characteristics of fabricated absorber panels are measured in a time domain method. The experimental results show that the absorber panel suppresses reflection < -14 dB from 90 MHz to 490 MHz for θi = 0, 30 and 60 degrees. The absorber panel is concluded to be applicable to television ghost problem for both VHF and UHF bands.
