Abstract :
Computed tomography (CT) is an important imaging modality. Though the difficulties in interpreting CT images somewhat limits its effectiveness, such disadvantages can be overcome by quantitative densitometric analysis. Nonetheless, the densitometric analysis is susceptible to the varying factors, including image acquisition parameters, types of CT machines and the age of the subjects. This preliminary study investigates the age-related difference in the density distribution derived by densitometric analysis.
