Abstract :
Wireless sensor network (WSN) is more and more important for various applications. In WSN, location information plays an important role in most applications, and location accuracy is crucial to some applications, such as temperature monitoring, target tracking and so on. The original DV-HOP is an important range free localization algorithm which achieves relatively reasonable localization accuracy in the isotropic dense network. However, nodes are usually randomly distributed where DC-HOP results a large localization error. In this paper, an improved algorithm called CWDV-HOP is introduced here. Simulation results have shown that the proposed method performs better accuracy estimation than DV-HOP without the need of any additional hardware device.
