Abstract :
This paper presents a new and simple method to design a full regulator/observer for linear-time invariant (LTI) descriptor systems subject to unknown inputs (UI). Based on the proportional integral (PI) observer approach developed by (D. Koenig et al., Nov. 2002), a new disturbance accommodation using a feedback of estimated state and disturbance in LTI descriptor system is investigated. Necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of the regulator/PI-observer are given and contrarily at (M. Darouach et al., 1987) the UI decoupled condition is not needed. An illustrative example is included.
