Abstract
A new approach to the design of a wideband feedforward amplifier is investigated. Phase equalisers instead of linear delay lines are employed in the feedforward reference paths to match the nonlinear delay/phase characteristics of both the main and error amplifiers. A harmonic balance simulation indicates that this provides significant improvement in intermodulation cancellation over a wide bandwidth.
