Abstract :
This paper describes the software engineering process used in the development of the Crossbow2 agent platform. Crossbow2 is a light-weight agent platform that enables the basic agent functionalities: agent creation, migration, detection, communication and destruction. The platform was developed with the extreme programming (XP) approach. The paper elaborates the activities included in the software development process and the XP practices used in the requirement specification, system design, implementation and testing
