Abstract :
Based on the finite alphabet property of the communication signals and the subspace theory, a blind source separation algorithm for co-channel signals is presented. A comparison between the proposed method and MUSIC algorithm is made. Although their application backgrounds are different, their principles are similar. On the viewpoint of MUSIC algorithm, a new explanation for the proposed approach is given. Based on the subspace perturbation theory, the bit error rate (BER) performance analysis is also presented. Some key parameters, such as channel vector correlation coefficient, signal vector correlation coefficient, number of antennas and length of code vectors, are discussed. Finally, simulation results confirm our performance analysis.
