Abstract :
Switching regulators use switched-mode PWM as the power stage. This converters have high quality factors due to a LC filter. A high quality factor can produce drastic changes with undesirable effects on regulator stability and are highly dependent on the particular values of the circuit elements. A methodology is derived to reduce this value that in most cases can be very high. The proper selection of the current gain in the inner loop for current programmed regulators is discussed in this paper
