Abstract :
MEMS and NEMS (nanotech and nanophotonics) developments will have a major impact on consumer storage in the near future. This presentation describes concepts, physics, manufacturing and uses for advanced digital storage devices using nanotechnology. Impacts on magnetic, optical and semiconductor storage devices are explored.
