Abstract :
In this paper we aim to investigate the performance of employing several transmit and receive antennas in WiMAX in order to improve the system performance. WiMAX is a wireless technology that provides broadband data at rates over 3 bits/second/Hz. In this paper we will consider multiple antenna techniques that do not require channel knowledge, i.e space-time block coding (STBC), receiver diversity and cyclic delay diversity. The performance results show that STBC and cyclic delay diversity is superior but to an expense in complexity.
