Abstract :
An interactive software tool for design and performance analysis of language models (LMs) is described. The tool obviates on-line simulation of the recognition system in which the LM is to be employed. By exploiting parallels with signal detection theory, a profile of the LM is given in a receiver-operating-characteristic-like (ROC) display
