Abstract
The unbundling of the electricity sector and the force of competition have developed new technologies of the generation and the delivery of electricity. From another point of view, the transmission and distribution activities are very similar with the natural gas transportation through pipelines. In this paper, the power losses in gas and electric systems are examined. It is also showed that the electricity system results more convenient for longer distances of gas wells from electricity consumption area
