Abstract
The resonance in a power system is one of the phenomena, which can entail many negative effects if it is an undesirable. At the beginning of the paper, the short characteristics of existing methods for the investigation of resonances in power systems are presented. Then, the used approach to investigate the resonance is presented. It is assumed that the investigation of resonance is realized in two stages, i.e. (i) the stage of introductory investigation of the resonances, (ii) the stage of exact investigation of resonances. The investigation of resonance during both the stages is performed utilizing the state equation for a power network. After the theoretical background of the method is described the example of its utilization is given. At the end, the main features of the method are given
