Abstract :
A novel architecture for hybrid controllers is introduced in this paper. The new hybrid controller consists of analog and digital implementation components. These components are configured in such a way that it guarantees superior dynamic performance when compared to digital controllers. Switching between hybrid and digital control modes is an integral part of the new architecture. Improving the performance of the economical low sampling rate digital controllers is the motive of this work. Advances in analog VLSI circuitry provides a promising platform for the proposed new architecture
