Abstract :
We present design and simulation results on a PACS subscriber unit prototype transmitter RF power amplifier, the effect of amplifier nonlinearity on the emission spectra, and the optimization of amplifier power added efficiency over the amplifier power control range. The amplifier gain, the P1-dB compression point, and the third order intercept point responsible for the adjacent channel spectral regrowth are investigated.
