Abstract :
Hierarchical modulation has been considered for higher data rates in terrestrial-DMB systems, which may degrade the performance of legacy receivers. To minimize the degradation, we adopt a decision-directed channel estimation method for phase correction. Simulation results show that the proposed method may secure higher data rates by reducing the degradation caused by hierarchical modulation.
