Title :
Nonperiodic binary signals with good autocorrelation properties
Author_Institution :
Hull Univ., UK
Abstract :
A survey of the available types of nonperiodic binary signals with near-impulsive nonperiodic autocorrelation functions, for application in identification. It is shown that some of these are suitable for linear system identification applications. In the case of complementary signals, it is also possible to synthesise a theoretically unlimited number of uncorrelated sets which can be employed for multi-input system identification. Other applications for such sequences include communication channel sounding and data transmission system synchronisation, and it is mainly for these purposes that they have been applied
