Abstract :
Permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) drives are finding expanded use in a series of applications. It is deduced that the motor´s armature current isn´t minimum when the power factor is one. Therefore, for constant load, this paper describes a simple control for a permanent magnet synchronous motor drives which provides a optimal efficient control, and a optimal efficient with a armature inductance parameter compensation. The control method has been implemented on a 180 W motor using Nd-Fe-B magnets. The experimental results using optimal efficient with armature inductance parameter compensation show that the technique has an excellent efficiency characteristics. It can be extensively applied to civil apparatus.
