Abstract
Medium-high power converters are especially important devices in applications as renewable energy and quality energy. Multilevel flying capacitor converter (MFCC) topology has been recently introduced and it presents advantages compared with other multilevel topologies. Several possible configurations using MFCC have been studied in order to improve the voltage balancing of flying capacitors. In this work, a new MFCC configuration is shown. This new configuration allows to increase the voltage level of the output signals without increasing the DC-Link voltage or the flying capacitors voltage. Therefore, it will be possible to reduce the voltage of the capacitors in the converter in order to achieve the desired output voltage. The proposed topology is completely generalized and any number of levels is studied
