Abstract
Several types of voluntary environmental claims have been developed during the last decade in response to a growing demand by public and commercial customers for insight into product life cycle environmental performance. Now almost fully standardized by the ISO 14020 series, these voluntary environmental claims appear as eco-labels and a variety of environmental declarations. This paper discusses a project underway in collaboration with Denmark´s largest telecommunication services provider, Tele Danmark A/S, which also sells telecommunication electronics from a chain of stores throughout Denmark. The project is aimed at establishing a green procurement framework and to install environmental product declarations as a green marketing tool, in a way that links these two disciplines together into a streamlined information flow
