Abstract
Grid computing is a technology that organizes vast amounts of heterogeneous resources under a common strategy. Applications created to run under such structures will be limited only by the restrictions of the chosen architecture or protocol. However, a large number of applications that are already employed (pre-Grid) are unsuitable to be used natively in Grid environments. Steps must be taken to bring such applications in a state where they can be used as services offered by the Grid environment. This article presents such methods of keeping functional legacy applications.
