  • Abstract
Describes the investigation of MMIC filter response using Libra simulator. The filter demonstrates a maximally flat passband with a cut-off frequency of 10 GHz. It is built on silicon and has a size of 1.296 × 1.6 mm2. The specified passband and stopband insertion losses are 0.2 dB and greater than 20 dB respectively. m-derived filter methodology and circuit configurations supported by theoretical derivation are presented in this paper. The metal and substrate thicknesses optimized in this study were found to improve the steepness of the filter response at cut-off. The overall size of the circuit is suited to MMIC technology.
