  • Abstract
The Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) has recently published a set of requirements and a control benchmark which is able to compare the effectiveness of new protocol proposals for safety-critical automotive systems. This paper presents a solution to this benchmark problem that is based on the Time Triggered Protocol (TTP). TTP integrates all services required for the implementation of fault-tolerant hard real-time systems, while trying to minimize the bandwidth requirements
