Abstract :
This paper presents a heath-care home gateway (HCHG), with the abilities of wireless transmission by using a ZigBee module and multimedia home platform (MHP), over digital cable television (CATV) network. By means of HCHG, it is mainly to transmit the vital signs of the CATV subscribers via digital CATV network to the medical/health-care center, and could further to consult their health condition with the professional medical and nursing personnel timely.
