Abstract :
A non-data-aided carrier recovery algorithm suitable for satellite digital video broadcasting receivers is presented, which can counteract large carrier offsets at signal-to-noise ratio as low as 3 dB. The proposed two-step scheme consists of low-resolution discrete Fourier transform (DFT) to acquire coarse carrier frequency offset, and carrier recovery loop for fine frequency offsets tracking. Simulation results are given to demonstrate the capability of the algorithm.
