Abstract :
A target allocation method based on intercept geometry is presented. All the possible intercept points are derived which form the intercept geometry in one-on-one engagement by considering all possible velocity directions of the target. Based on the intercept geometry, the maximum change in velocity for the missile to intercept the target is studied. To obtain the optimal allocation plan, a performance index is proposed based on the maximum change in velocity in one-on-one engagement. In this method, the initial velocity direction of the target and the model of target manoeuvre are needless. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed method is proved by the simulations under different initial conditions.
