Abstract :
In contrast to the physical orthodox theory of single-electronics, a circuit theoretical description for single-electron tunneling junctions can be developed. Based on the impulse circuit model for the tunnel junction and a tunnel condition based on the extended hot-electron model, Coulomb blockade and Coulomb oscillations in both high ohmic and low ohmic environment are predicted.
