Abstract :
A smooth feedback control of local bifurcation phenomena occurring in various engineering models has been the subject of a number of studies. In the authors´ earlier papers an integrated approach employing the normal forms reduction for analysis and smooth resonance feedback control of nonlinear transient behavior is presented. In this paper the authors briefly show that a composition of smooth, continuous (non-smooth) and discontinuous components in a resonance feedback matches superior performance with a reduction of feedback magnitude required for stabilization
