Abstract :
A 1394-to-coax bridge that enables existing coax infrastructures to be used for connecting IEEE 1394 digital multimedia devices has been developed. The ultra wideband technology is applied to transfer 1394 packets through the coax cable. This paper outlines the architecture and functionality of this bridge node.
