Abstract
In existing results, as for the developed sufficient conditions of stabilizing switching law in the form of linear matrix inequalities, there is usually a constraint that the values of two Lyapunov functions at switching instants must be equal. This paper develops a new stabilizing switching law design method for second-order switched system in terms of linear matrix inequalities problem. The values of two Lyapunov functions need not to be equal at switching instants. Simulation has demonstrated the effectiveness of the proposed method
