Abstract :
With the development of services provision technologies, network services are become more and more various and complicated. Because of network connection and the relations among services and network devices, a network fault usually happens with a series of related faults. These cases bring complications to find out the exact original fault among fault storms. This paper proposes a knowledge-based fault diagnosis Model FDM. We first present its model and then give a rule-based reasoning algorithm for fault reasoning. This paper also implements a prototype of FDM in a distributed broadband access network HFC. We use real fault cases to validate the efficiency of the proposed model and algorithm. Our efforts show that FDM has high accuracy in fault diagnosis with low space-time complication.
