Abstract :
Summary from only given. We demonstrate here lasing with a 100%-doped KYb(WO/sub 4/)/sub 2/ (hereafter KYbW), the first stoichiometric laser based on Yb in monoclinic double tungstates. Quasi-CW laser operation has been achieved for pump wavelength /spl lambda//sub p/ between 917 and 974 nm, and between 1004 and 1012 nm.
