Abstract
This paper introduces a new tracking radar which can track confidently ultra-low altitude targets (such as sea skimmer and cruise missile) and measure the miss distances of the shells relative to the missile. This type of radar adopts ultra-wide band technique and monopulse Doppler system. The low-angle tracking is realized by combination of the ultra-wideband (UWB) technique with a composite low-angle tracking data processing. The paper emphasizes the engineering implementations of three problems, ie, low-angle tracking, miss distance measurement and ultra-wide band (30%)
