Abstract :
Summary form only given. We present a novel electrooptic filter that uses a periodically poled lithium niobate (PPLN) grating and a coupler configuration in order to select the filtered wavelength. This technology can also be used for applications such as wavelength selective optical switches and attenuators. The influence of apodization and background loss will be described and the experimental feasibility will be addressed.
