Abstract :
In this paper, a systematic method for the tuning of multiple power system controllers using eigenvalue sensitivity and linear programming is presented. The main feature of this method is the symbolic formulation of the eigenvalue increment and its universal applicability to FACTS controllers. The proposed method is applied to a single machine infinite-bus example with a power system stabilizer and a controller for a thyristor-controlled series capacitor
