Abstract :
The concept of high power microwave (HPM) short-duration pulse radar may have possibilities with the rapid development of HPM techniques. Short-duration pulse HPM radar has the advantages of high ECCM ability long range detection ability, high range resolution and high ability to detect targets in heavy scatter backgrounds. The DSP method is relatively simple. In this paper, the function, structure and constitution of a short-duration pulse radar experimental system which has been developed is presented. A method for creating, transmitting and receiving the short-duration pulse microwave signal is explored. A high range-resolution detection experiment for an air target and ground target is also preliminarily studied
