Abstract
The Model Library described has been developed to provide a set of models more generally acceptable to the broad community of control engineers. Factors which have received particular attention are: industrial acceptability of the models as accurately representing a real industrial plant or process over a well defined range of operating conditions; availability of the model in simulation languages commonly used in both industry and education; comprehensive documentation of each model and the provision of implementation examples; and access to both models and documentation over a well defined range of operating conditions; availability of the model in simulation languages commonly used in both industry and education; comprehensive documentation of each model and the provision of implementation examples; and access to both models and documentation over a well established and widespread computer network
