Abstract :
In this paper, we outline an experimental technique for rapidly and accurately measuring the Devil´s Staircase structure of lockings in an injection-locked frequency divider (ILFD). This technique uses a P.C., a CMOS oscillator, a function generator and a frequency counter. We describe an analysis of the method and also include a discussion of the experimental results and their significance to today´s frequency division circuits.
