Abstract :
This paper is concerned with discrete-time model reduction via order-reduction of a discrete-time left coprime factor representation of a given model or controller. The proposed model reduction scheme is suitable for both, stable and unstable models, and for non-minimal state-space systems. Balanced singular perturbation approximation is considered rather than balanced truncation. Numerical issues are also considered
