  • Abstract
    In this paper, we proposed an improved soft-out minimum mean square error (MMSE) based ordering successive interference cancellation (OSIC) detector for vertical Bell Laboratories layered space-time (V-BLAST) system. The proposed algorithm quantifies and compensates the error propagation from the hard decision of previous detected spatial data stream through the computation of symbol a posteriori probability (APP). Simulation results show that our scheme substantially outperforms recently reported enhanced technology which quantifies the hard decision error based on modulation constellation decomposition and Gaussian approximation.
