Abstract :
In this paper, a novel variable step-size (VS) LMS (Least Mean Square) adaptive filtering algorithm for adaptive beamforming is proposed based on the conventional VS-LMS algorithm. In the condition of low SNIR, the proposed method improves the convergence rate and steady-state error by regulating the step size coefficient. Finally, an example for beamforming technology is illustrated and its results indicate that the improved algorithm can form a deeper null in the direction of the interference compared with the VS-LMS algorithm.
