Abstract
In this paper, we study a new style of error function of the constant modulus algorithm (CMA) and propose a new blind equalization algorithm based on a combination error function consisting of this new style of error function and a error function of decision directed (DD). Compared with CMA, the proposed algorithm has faster convergence rate and lower residual error, and can compensate phase offset introduced by time-varying Doppler underwater acoustic channels. The efficiency of the method is proved by computer simulations with underwater acoustic channels.
