Abstract
This paper considers the simultaneous actuator and sensor fault reconstruction problems for linear systems when the observer matching condition is not satisfied. A new augmented system is constructed and an auxiliary output vector is proposed so that the observer matching condition is satisfied. A high-order sliding mode observer is considered to obtain the exact estimates of both the auxiliary outputs and their derivatives. A kind of actuator and sensor fault reconstruction method is developed based on a reduced-order observer and the high-order sliding mode observer. Finally, a numerical simulation is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed methods.
